Dental veneers are typically thin pieces of porcelain that cover a tooth and used to make slight corrections to your teeth, pertaining to position, shape, size, and/or color. Each veneer is individually crafted to custom fit each tooth they are to be placed on resulting in an indistinguishable quality between a tooth with a veneer placed on it and a natural tooth. They can be used to strengthen and restore a fractured or worn down tooth. Small gaps that are difficult to close with orthodontics may be closed with multiple veneers. In the picture above is an example of veneers being used to cover discolored teeth that will not whiten. Veneers are a simple solution for a multitude of conditions and is minimally invasive.
